We believe it is important for our students to examine their values and beliefs and really think about what is important to them in a career and encourage them to think about whether they would feel comfortable ethically and morally working in any particular industry.
This often means making a list of opportunities they would like to have in a career and those elements they would prefer to avoid; working as part of a team or on their own, travel possibilities or to remain tied to one locality; weighing the attractions of a high salary against the satisfaction of working for a lower salary in another occupation, for example.
As a student at Britannica they have access to a wealth of information and can count on the experience of the staff who have been working in the careers field for many years.
