Trips and Visits

Primary Trips and Visits

Trips in Britannica are seen as the ‘Outside Classroom’ and are part of the valuable educational experience we try to give the children.  Many are connected to the academic curriculum but some are part of PHSE (Personal, Health, and Social Education), developing leadership and independence skills.

Years 1, 2, and 3 take day trips and in Years 4, 5 and 6 we offer day trips and a residential trip each year. All children are expected to take part as this is part of who we are at Britannica.

Here is a snapshot of trips planned in draft for the academic school year (please be aware that this list is not exhaustive and subject to changes) :

Secondary Trips and Visits

In secondary, we tailor our trips to blend into the academics and all trips enhance the learning experience of students,as well as relating to the curriculum. On top of enriching academics and learning, trips are an essential social experience which are fundamental to teach students cooperation, social and life skills. All trips are equally valuable and contribute in many different ways to the development and academic progress of our students.
